Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County and Cornell Cooperative Extension Harvest NY for an event for livestock farmers and the community to meet and learn about local bulk meat sales and to taste recipes created for NYS schools featuring meats from your friendly neighborhood farms. This event will be held at the Powerhouse at the Roycroft Campus - 39 S. Grove St. East Aurora, NY.
Massachusetts Avenue Project's Annual Seedling Sale
Please join Massachusetts Avenue Project for theri Annual Seedling Sale on Saturday, May 4th from 10am -2pm at their urban farm, 387 Massachusetts Avenue. They will be selling vegetable, flower and herb seedlings for $4 a piece. The event will also feature a number of our partners and vendors. There will be food & drink available for purchase, family friendly activities, and our market will be open.

Flower City Days at The Market are a paradise for novice and experienced gardeners who want to cultivate gorgeous ornamental and/or veggie gardens. These legendary horticultural sales are Market and community favorites, full of annuals and perennials, hanging baskets, succulents, gardening accessories and much more! Smart gardeners attend Flower City Days each spring because they know they will get great variety and prices on plants and flowers. Learn to Make Tamales with Breva Kitchen
Join Massachusetts Avenue Project for an evening of tamale-making! Tamales are an iconic part of Latin America. While they differ from country to country, and even region to region, they are built on the same base. Diego will teach you how to make a rich corn dough from scratch and discuss the many types of tamales found in the region. We will be making the dough, filling our tamales with chicken and vegetarian-friendly fillings, and learning how to wrap them in a banana leaf. We‘ll work together to make the tamales as Colombia families do, each person pitching in with a different role. Each student will take home two tamales and a recipe to make them yourself at home.
Partners Plant Sale
Join Groundwork Market Garden and Fareshare WNY’s 4th Annual Plant Sale! They wil be selling CertifiedUSDA Organic Fruit, Vegetable, and herb seedlings. The event will be hosted at 1698 Genesee Street and each family will be able to go home with two free plants.
2024 Rochester Spring Urban Ag Conference

Soil Health Workshop
Join Greater Buffalo Urban Growers (GBUG). Massachusetts Avenue Project, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County, and other local agricultural organizations for a FREE lead screening for your soil. This event is taking place at 5 Loaves Farmhouse, 70 W. Delevan Ave. PLEASE NOTE: Participants cannot drop off soil samples. Collection and testing takes 5-10 minutes.
WEDIfest
Westminster Economic Development Initative (WEDI) is set to host their annual WEDIfest at the new West Side Bazaar, 1432 Niagara Street. The event brings hundreds of people together for a memorable evening of connection, great music, food and drink, and an auction of unique gifts and experiences. Support from community leaders like you is vital to WEDI’s programs and sustainability. Together, we are creating a Western New York where all residents can succeed and thrive in a culturally inclusive, equitable community.

Collaborative and Alternative Marketing for Farmers - Learning from Those Who are Doing It
Join Cornell Vegetable program and NOFA-NY for a virtual panel discussion meeting where panelists will share their marketing enterprise, why and how it came to be, and what it takes for groups of farmers to work together to improve their marketing opportunities. Then the floor will be open for Q/A and discussion with the audience. The goal of this effort is to learn about these types of marketing alternatives, what it took to put them together, and maybe get interest enough from those attending to explore new collaborations.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County and partners are hosting the 5th annual Niagara County Agribusiness Outreach Forum will take place on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County, 4487 Lake Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094.
