Involvement Opportunities

Working Groups

We’re the folks on the ground who bring the ideas to change the system.

Each idea is inspired and informed by our own experiences growing produce, raising livestock, running markets, and/or living with marginalized identities that affect our access to capital, quality food, and land.

There are five Food Future WNY Working Groups you may serve on: Access, Equity, and Sovereignty; Farmers & Producers; Markets & Buyers; Infrastructure; and Farm & Food Business Finance. Each group meets once a month, every other month via Zoom to propose new ideas, hear from exclusive guest speakers, and build on actions already in motion. On alternating months, all groups meet for one Zoom session to discuss the state of the work and network with fellow partners. Whether you serve on one, two, or all five groups, you are eligible to receive a small stipend for your time and expertise on a per-meeting basis.

We’re always looking for new partners—let’s make you one of ‘em!

“Food Future WNY has the potential to be exactly the coordinated, strategic approach that small farms in Western New York need in order to secure our economic future.  Dedicated participation by farmers is the key to unlocking that potential, so I attend every meeting that I possibly can.”

“I take deep satisfaction and joy in learning, connecting, and taking action towards making our food system good, better, and moving toward being the best with my Food Future WNY colleagues.”

Regional Leadership Team

We’re the trailblazers who review and approve emerging projects.

We’ve seen it all—and have the experience, networks, and time-tested love of food, people, and land to show for it.

There are not any openings for the Regional Leadership Team at this time, but we’d love to keep you in mind for future opportunities.

NYSAWG Staff

There are not any openings for employment at this time, but check back soon!

We want to hear from you.
