Ag Program Leader

E-mail Joan

Joan Sinclair Petzen's Cooperative Extension career spans thirty-five years. Her roots go back to a Genesee Valley dairy farm, she now owns and rents.

Joan’s leadership activities include NYS Agricultural Society and NY and National Associations of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA). NACAA recognized her for Distinguished Service, 1995; Public Relations in Daily Efforts, 2006 and Agricultural Appreciation and Awareness Award, 2012. She received Cattaraugus County’s Brooks Patterson Community Leadership Award in 2007 and Friend of Agriculture in 2014.

A St. Bonaventure University MBA in finance and accounting and Cornell University BS in Agricultural Economics and Animal Science underpin Mrs. Petzen’s career. LEAD-NY, Leadership Wyoming and Cornell’s Dairy Executive Program grew her network.

Joan’s passion - helping next generation farmers gain management skills needed to lead businesses.
